Yes, it’s awesome, but we were doing this pretty much every lap for two days straight.
Between talking with people, spotting from the timing tower, checking out the hot dog stand menu and schmoozing, I didn’t get a take a lot of photos this past weekend. But the universe provides, in this case in the form of renowned off road photographer Harry Wagner, who was shooting for Race Dezert. Equally cool, Harry’s going to be covering Dakar again in a few months and I may be able to swing a deal to have him pick me up a Kamaz race team hat.
I’m not sure who was driving when Harry got this shot, but when I find out, we’re going to have a little chat about “saving the car.”
