No word on 1104 yet. Crusty came by and picked up some parts for the parts bins. He also found the mount for the IRC tracking unit, so I can sleep at night. Roxanne also picked up some peanut butter-filled pretzel nuggets, because no Baja 1000 is complete without peanut butter filled pretzel nuggets

Jef Holmes, who has a house in Pete’s Camp just outside San Felipe, comes through for us again this year, offering The Scout for chase support on the southern stretch of the Baja 1000. His report:
The Scout is good to go. It just got a new radiator and lots of love last time I was there, and seems in good shape. I will have to be the driver since it has some secret buttons and levers. But I’m in. I plan on doing the bottom half of the course on my bike or the scout in the next couple of weeks. We have wifi and dsl at the house now, as well as BBQ and lots of tequila. Yee Ha!

Richard, Scott, Crusty and Skid met earlier today to erect the frame of a workshop in Richard’s back yard that will soon be the new home of Desert Dingo Racing. The frame is up, as is the primary structure for the overhead crane (Did we mention we’ll have an overhead crane? Yes, we will.)
The rush is to get the workshop enclosed by Thanksgiving because apparently Richard is having dinner for 30 in it. After that, it’s all ours. (I’m contributing a very cool Bilstein racing calendar).
