VORRA Master-Pull USA 500 - The Biggest Little Race in the World
DirtSports, August Issue
Iconic races across the harsh Nevada desert, such as Vegas to Reno and the Mint 400, are well known to members of our Nation. Less glamorous than overall wins and class titles are the hours of work and thousands of dollars that Best in the Desert and SNORE spend on environmental assessments and insurance to hold these races. These very factors have even conspired to almost completely force SCORE International out of the United States with their recent announcement that they will no longer be racing in Primm.

Just when it seemed as though the barriers to entry would never allow a new desert race in America, tiny Valley Off Road Racing Association upped the ante with one of the longest desert races in Nevada: the Master-Pull USA 500.

Richard Palasik (1107) and Gary Herrod (1112) went door to door all the way to the checkers with Palasik taking the moto win.
