Felton's Jim Graham, co-founder of Desert Dingo Racing, and his team won their division of the Valley Off Road Racing Association's The 24, a endurance race out of Fallon, Nev., over the weekend. The team and its 1969 VW Beetle is on pace to win the VORRA Stock Bug overall title.

Just when it seemed as though the barriers to entry would never allow a new desert race in America, tiny Valley Off Road Racing Association upped the ante with one of the longest desert races in Nevada: the Master-Pull USA 500.

Desert Dingo Racing was one of six teams selected by SafeRacer for 2011 sponsorship from the hundreds of proposals the company received. Other teams selected include dirt late model racer Dylan "The Rocket City Kid" Ames , Beau Borders of Beau Borders Racing, Kathy Jarvis of Femmefatale Motorsports, Spec Miata autocross racers Kyra and Jerry Jenkins, and Guardian Angel Motorsports co-founder Bruce LeDoux.

With all three Class 11's running higher compression this race it was 3-wide into turn 1 as nobody wanted to give an inch. Bob Messer (1177) didn't make the horseshoe turn though as he rolled and damaged the transmission. Richard Palasik (1107) and Gary Herrod (1112) went door to door all the way to the checkers with Palasik taking the moto win.
